YES WE DO APPRAISALS!

NOTE: We also provide an expert appraisal service for a very reasonable fee for scarce and rare coins. This appraisal can be obtained for insurance and estate purposes. We have been professional dealers for over 40 years and provide to our customers the knowledge and experience few have.  Please contact us about our fees and indicate the kind and numbers of items you wish appraised.  We do not provide free value appraisals over the phone due to the impossibility of giving accurate advice without actually seeing the item.  We will try to give you an idea if your coins might be valuable and worth sellling or shipping to us for our offfer.

We sometimes are also willing to trade your coins for other items we have for sale. For example, if you wish to sell your coins but want to buy stamps, we might able to provide a satisfactory solution to your interests in one simple transaction.

If you wish to find out the value of your coins, especially if the are more common types, but not to sell them see the section of our web page that offers the key guide books for this purpose. The "Blue Book" is the best guide to prices that dealers will pay for U.S. coins. See books and supplies page

Please do not send cleaned, hairlined or damaged coins which will be returned at your expense.  Write/fax about other items with your price. We are interested in buying scarce and rare high quality 19th Century and earlier medals, tokens, stamps, and some collectibles and antiques.  Please contact us on these items with a full description of what you have to sell.  We will also travel for significant collections or items when required. Fair, honest dealing always!  You are dealing with an expert professional at Coins International not a marketing organization.

SAFEGUARD AND PRESERVE YOUR SCARCE COINS! DO NOT CLEAN THEM!

Reminder: If you have old coins do NOT clean them, do not put your finger on the surface of the coin (it leaves a finger-print and oils that discolor the coin).  Coins that have been cleaned, whizzed, brushed, kept in PVC envelopes, exposed to acid, cleaned by abrasives, or often even dipped in sliver cleaner have their value reduced considerably and in some cases become, for many collectors, valueless.   Toned or "tarnished" coins should be left toned.

WARNING: DO NOT CLEAN YOUR COINS WITHOUT EXPERT ADVICE.
